Weed Diamond: Chalice (Demo)
Just when I’m thinking “man, I could really use more Weed Diamond in my life”, they throw some wonderful new demos up on their Facebook page (like ‘em if you haven’t already). These guys have been on an absolute roll recently (See: Carry On + Sweater Kids), and by the sound of “Field on Fire”/”Chalice”, they haven’t lost their momentum. While “Field on Fire” takes a crunchy, Sonic Youth-y route, “Chalice” is more breezy and understated. Both clock in at around 5 minutes, squeezing out every last drop of ear-grabbing goodness. If these are just demos (and I’m hesitant to even call them that), the end results should be no less than magical.
